A Startup Madeira, within the scope of the activities of the eGames Lab consortiumorganizes on the 19th April, 2023 the closing session of the 1st edition of Gaming Startup Retreat*

This Demo Day is a moment of celebration, representing a 6-week intensive work by our international startups, where they will share their projects with investors, partners, gamers, entities of the creative and gaming industries, community and curious.

For 6 weeks, this acceleration program counts with 9 startups from the gaming and creative industries and/or with gamified solutions: 3Hills (Montenegro), AvaGames (Iran) Black Cube Games (Latvia), Dibulo (Switzerland), LaPalmaFC (Argentina), Parampará (Brazil), UINSIDE (Russia), Wildchain (Thailand) and Zapiens (Spain),

In this afternoon, we are also welcoming Miguel Campos (WOWSystems), Gorete Lopes (Digital Valley Portugal), Pedro Macedo Camacho (Composer) and João Ribeiro (Eterlast) who will explore topics related to the videogames ecossystem and creative industries, from music, software, development, community, opportunities and visions of the future.

This session will also welcome Carlos Soares Lopes (Startup Madeira).

* Gaming Startup Retreat

For the first time, the Gaming Startup Retreat acceleration program aims to bring together startups related to video games, creative industries and entertainment. Developed within the scope of the activities of the eGames Lab consortium, by Startup Madeira, in partnership with NOVA SBE, and with the financing of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, this 1st edition is taking place, in person, between March 13 and April 21, 2023, in Madeira.
During 6 intensive weeks, the participating startups are having the opportunity to work, share knowledge and experiences, analyze their own business and set goals, accompanied by expert mentors.
One of the main goals of this program is to give the entrepreneurs the chance to take advantage of the Madeira ecossystem, as a living hub, to test and scale their products and services, and explore new niches of branding.
