Solutions Exhibition @ Madeira

2 April, 2024

A “Solutions Exhibition” opens on Wednesday, April 10th, at 12h00 and will be held to the general public, at the Museu Casa da Luz, Funchal, until May 3rd. An opportunity to discover more than 40 impact solutions, representing 23 countries, with entrepreneurial and innovative ideas.

Startup Madeira is the local partner entity of "Solutions Exhibition”, an exhibition from SnowBall Effect, an organization created in 2019, in France, that wants to share examples of worldwide initiatives, that have as base their social, environmental, and cultural impact. Each solution here is followed by an audio, by each representative idea, so the visitor can have a better perspective of the solution, making this visit more interactive, dynamic, and immersive.

This exhibition is aimed at the entire community, especially to those who want to launch an initiative that creates a positive difference in their ecosystem; those who want to learn about and receive inspiration from impact solutions that can be replicated locally; and for those who want to learn from the experiences of those who have already implemented them and thus avoid "reinventing the wheel".

SnowBall Effect has already replicated this exhibition 54 times, and it has been shown in 20 cities in 13 countries since January 2023. Now it will be exhibited for the first time in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, facilitated locally by the organization The Impact Collective, by the facilitator Nadia Laabs.

Facilitated Session

Sessao facilitada

To learn more about the solutions on display at this Solutions Exhibition, a Facilitated Session will be held on April 17th, from 14h30 to 17h00 at the Casa da Luz Museum, led by Nadia Laabs.

During this session, participants will be able to find the problem/opportunity they identify with and would like to solve, whether in the area of social inclusion, education, the environment, among others. They can then find targeted inspiration for solutions in different sectors, such as homelessness, child education, climate change, sustainable food, waste management, gender equality, the ocean, diversity.... Finally, to understand what can be learned from these solutions and their driving teams, and to start asking how similar solutions can be launched in the region.

Participation in this Facilitated Session is free, but registration is required here:
