SEAS UP CONFERENCE

On the September 5 and 6, at the Jesuit College, University of Madeira the SEAS UP Conference, will take place, an initiative promoted by Startup Madeira, in partnership with Universidade da Madeira and its research unit OSEANdedicated to exploring the possibilities and challenges of entrepreneurship in the current era. 

The SEAS UP Conference, an initiative promoted by Startup Madeira, in partnership with the University of Madeira and its research unit OSEAN, will be held on 5 and 6 September at the Colégio dos Jesuítas, University of Madeira, to explore the possibilities and challenges of entrepreneurship in the current era.

During this event, there will be presentations, plenary sessions and round tables, thus creating a space for debate on emerging trends, new technologies, implementing more sustainable practices and promoting more inclusive business cultures. Keynote speakers from the universities of Indiana (USA), Reichman (Israel), Galway (Ireland) and Koblenz (Germany) will address unique perspectives on artificial intelligence, startups and the evolution of entrepreneurship, where the quest for innovation and collaboration has intensified, creating a more inclusive and dynamic business and academic landscape.

The program also includes the public presentation of a book written by Professor Eduardo Leite, which will be presented by Natalie Walsh.

After this conference, held in English, the University of Madeira will host an event. At this event, sessions will be dedicated to presenting posters and scientific articles that delve into these trends and their influence on various sectors of the global economy.

This initiative will be co-financed by the European Union through the Madeira 20-30 operational programme. Admission is free but subject to registration.
