"Mistakes Were Made: Why we don't seek user feedback until it's too late?"
You have a vision, a strong team, and the feeling that your game is going to be a success. But the harsh reality is that intuition can sometimes be your worst enemy. In the heat of development, it is easy to convince yourself that everything is fine — until players test the game and get stuck or, worse, lose interest altogether.
This talk aims to break that bubble. We will explore how to stop guessing and start facing the reality of the market through simple, fast, and cost-effective user research methods, without the need for complex tools or expensive data. The goal is to uncover the “why” behind player behaviour. Although the focus is on video games, this insight is relevant for anyone creating products who wants to stop deceiving themselves and finally start listening to users.
