The University of Madeira will host this Thursday, March 31 at 2:00 pm the session “Imagination First”. This initiative takes place in Amphitheater 3, on the Penteada Campus and has the support of the John dos Passos Cultural Center, Startup Madeira and the Digital Nomads Madeira Islands community.
The session is directed to students and teachers and will be facilitated by Scott Marshall Brandon, author of the book Imagination First. The initiative aims to explore how imagination, creativity and innovation work within the fields of culture and education. The way the modern market thrives when focused on interaction, as well as the myths around imagination will also be addressed.
Biography:
Scott Marshall Brandon is a growth-oriented strategic thinker, solution and innovation architect.
Scott holds a PhD in Cognition/symbol systems/arts education. He spent 35 years building and researching complex organizational systems. He was the Executive Director of Lincoln Center (LC) for 25 years, where he led more than 140 full-time and part-time employees on a board of more than 30 stakeholders. He is currently Co-Director of Litróf Consultig, continuing to develop the concept of Imagination, with the great objective of improving organizational systems through commerce (transaction), culture (interaction) and education (sustainability).
Imagination Conversations
At LC, he created the Imagination Conversations (IC) series, with 60 conversations held (reaching more than 8 million people), whose main objective is to demonstrate how imagination-based outcomes affect the variables of change. Scott is currently organizing a series of CIs globally.
