Startup Madeira, Turismo de Portugal and NOVA School of Business and Economics invite you to attend on June 8th, 2022, the closing session of the 5th edition of Madeira Startup Retreat, which will take place at the auditorium of Museu da Casa da Luz - Funchal.

This Demo Day is a moment of celebration, where international startups will share their ideas with investors, partners, hotel groups, the airport, ports, transport companies, tourism operators, and others.

For 6 weeks, this acceleration program gathers 11 travel & tourism startups: Escappy (Colombia), GlobeTrott Travel (Lithuania), Gopostly (Portugal), Hotel Manager (UK), iFriend (Brazil), Kleesto (Greece), NomadHer (South Corea), OTA Sync (Montenegro), StayAltered (USA), The Impact Collective (UK), Visit Guide (Egypt).

For this initiative, it's also confirmed the talks of Gui Perdrix ( Co-Liv), Miguel Silva (MTI), e Afonso Pinheiro (Pleez) which will explore topics related to trends about accommodation, colivings, IOT, and innovation, always related to the thematic of the event.

This session will also welcome Sérgio Guerreiro (Turismo de Portugal), António Nabais de Carvalho (NOVA SBE) and Carlos Soares Lopes (Startup Madeira).

*Madeira Startup Retreat

For the 5th consecutive year, the acceleration program Madeira Startup Retreat gathers 11 travel & tourism startups. Supported by Turismo de Portugal and developed by Startup Madeira, in partnership with NOVA SBE, this 5th edition is happening in Madeira, between May 2nd and June 10th, 2022. For 6 intensive weeks, the 11 startups are having the opportunity to work, share knowledge and experience, re-check their business models, and set goals. Besides working side by side with their coworkers, they also have the opportunity to share the working space with like-minded people and mentors. One of the goals of the program is that the entrepreneurs can also enjoy the local ecosystem, as a living hub to test and scale their products and services and explore new niches of the market. Mention, that since the 1st edition, 2018, this program gathered in total of 50 international startups, 55 mentors, and 158 entrepreneurs, representing over 25 nationalities.
