InnoMedCatalyst

Startup Madeira is a partner of the European Consortium InnoMedCatalyst which aims to enhance regional innovation capacity within the ecosystems of precision and personalised medicine across Europe. This consortium, led by the Regional Development Agency of North-East Romania, includes 13 partners from 8 European countries, namely Belgium, Bulgaria, Spain, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, and Romania. It comprises regional development agencies, clusters that integrate laboratories, research centres, healthcare units, accelerators, among others.

This project aims to enable startups, innovators, and healthcare providers to enhance their capabilities in developing, testing, and refining digital health solutions, while simultaneously preparing a series of interregional investment projects for funding and implementation by 2026. The overall objective will be achieved through a set of guiding pillars, such as:

- Analysis of the regional value chain in digital precision medicine
- Creation of guidelines for Innovative Regional Ecosystems in 5P digital precision medicine  
- Development of a Peer Learning Programme
- Acceleration Programme in Precision Medicine – 5P [3 Editions]
- Innovation Network Platform (Life Sciences Open Space)
- Portfolio of European Interregional Investment Projects.

InnoMedCatalyst Accelerator Programme

The InnoMedCatalyst Accelerator Programme has been designed to upport early-stage MedTech and HealthTech startups, spin-offs, and SMEs in the development of their innovative solutions, with a focus on personalised, preventive, participatory, and precision digital healthcare.
 
This acceleration programme aims to bring together entrepreneurs and innovators within the InnoMedCatalyst community, where they can leverage this network to accelerate their products/services to market through tailored guidance. Over the course of two months, participants will have access to webinars delivered by experts and to a broad network of over 150 partners, investors, and mentors across Europe.
 
Throughout the programme, which will be delivered online, participants will receive personalised mentoring and support to help them take their innovative solutions and products to the next level and create a lasting impact in the sector.
 
The InnoMedCatalyst Accelerator Programme is intended for entrepreneurs and innovators whose technologies are in the testing and validation phase within clinical settings, following a regulated pathway to market. The participating teams are expected to make a tangible impact on health and to be committed to transforming the medical ecosystem.
