Let's play a game! eGames Lab
This is another surprising edition of Essential Madeira Islands, this time dedicated to the video games industry. This is one of the fastest-rowing markets in recent years, with profits that already exceed those of other entertainment industries, such as cinema.
This special edition looks at how eGames Lab, a consortium of 22 partners * in the video games field, wants to put Portugal on the path to the big markets.
We cover topics such as the importance of sound in major productions, the application of blockchain technology in video games in the name of security, and the role of multidisciplinary in video game development. We also explore the higher education courses that prepare talent for this area, research into serious games, artificial intelligence and augmented reality, and the importance of Portuguese companies being present at major international fairs.
Discover the advantages of working in Madeira for European and American companies. This edition is the result of a partnership with Startup Madeira, an innovation engine that stimulates and facilitates transformative projects in the region. Now, just like at the start of a video game, choose your chair, sit down comfortably and click play. Enjoy your adventure!
