Startup Madeira, in partnership with the 351 in partnership with the, is organising the first Techstars Startup Weekend Madeira, taking place from October 23 to 25.
Considered one of the world's largest community-led entrepreneurship programmes, Startup Weekend is powered by techstarts and has been held more than 7,000 times across over 150 countries. This three-day educational, creative and collaborative event gives participants the opportunity to develop and pitch new business ideas that could become successful startups.
In just 54 hours, participants are challenged to turn a business idea into a project with real market potential. Along the way, they will gain practical insights and the essential tools needed to create a business model, develop a prototype, design solutions, validate the market, acquire their first customers, and deliver a compelling pitch, all within a collaborative environment built on teamwork and mutual support.
PROGRAMME:
The weekend kicks off on the afternoon of Friday, October 23, with plenty of creativity and energy. We will begin with introductions, pitches and inspiring brainstorming sessions. From there, teams will be formed and the real work will begin!
Teams will collaborate intensively from Friday evening through to Sunday, refining their ideas and developing prototypes for the final presentations. Throughout the weekend, participants will work on business ideas while collaborating with people from a wide range of backgrounds and areas of expertise.
Throughout these three days, you will be supported by the teams from Startup Madeira, the 351 Portuguese Startup Association, as well as local mentors and entrepreneurs. At the end of the weekend, each team will pitch its idea to a panel of judges, and the winning team will be awarded a prize!

Participation in the Techstars Startup Weekend Madeira is free of charge, but registration is required and places are limited.
This is an intensive and immersive experience, so registration requires participants to be available throughout all three days of the event.
